Tribble sets up the item for every retailer. Regulatory signs off.
Item setup, claims substantiation, packaging surveys, food safety requests and private label tenders, answered from what your regulatory, quality and packaging owners already approved.
Claims substantiation
Tribble pairs every claim on the pack with the evidence behind it.
A retailer’s quality team asks you to substantiate each claim on a new item: the exact wording, the evidence, and the sizes it covers. Tribble answers from your claims register, naming the certificate or report regulatory approved for each one. A claim you don’t make is answered as one you don’t make, so a retailer’s paraphrase never becomes your claim.
- Every claim in its approved wording, with its evidence and the sizes it covers
- A claim you don’t make, like home compostable, is answered as not made, from the register
Each claim shows who approved it and when
Packaging and sustainability surveys
Tribble answers the packaging survey component by component, from your specs.
Retailer packaging programs and state packaging laws now ask for every item broken into its parts: material, weight in grams and end of life, for the pod, the lid, the box and the bag. Tribble fills each cell from the packaging specs your packaging team approved, and keeps every end-of-life answer to the claim regulatory approved. A component no spec lists goes to its owner in Teams.
- Material, weight and end of life for every component, from approved packaging specs
- End-of-life answers keep the qualifier the claim on pack carries
Every cell shows its spec, its owner and the approval date
Line reviews and joint business planning · Tribble Engage
Tribble puts the approved wording in front of your account team mid line review.
At the club’s annual coffee review, the buyer asks to call your coffee “farmer direct” on the club’s own signage. Your national account director sees the approved claim and its evidence while the buyer is still talking, and the follow-up with the agreed wording is drafted to Outlook before the meeting ends. A buyer’s shorthand never becomes the claim on a club sign.
- Approved claims, sourcing, packaging and certificate answers, with the source attached
- Live suggestions on recorded calls, with consent
- Follow-ups drafted to Outlook, so you send and archive as you do today
Private label tenders
Tribble answers a store-brand tender from your private label specs, never your brand’s claims.
When a grocer tenders its own-brand pods, it asks about the product, the sourcing, the certifications and who approves the claims, and every answer has to describe what you’d make for the grocer, not what you sell under your own name. Tribble answers from the private label specs and capability statement your private label team approved. A question whose only match is a branded claim goes to your private label lead, so your brand’s wording stays on your own packs.
- Each question answered from approved private label specs and the capability statement
- Branded claims and wording never carried into a store-brand answer
Every store-brand answer shows who approved it for private label use
Food safety and audit requests · GFSI
Tribble answers the food safety review from your certificates, and quality releases the audit report.
Every retailer and distributor asks each year for your GFSI certificates, recall program, mock recalls and allergen controls, and many want the full audit report as well. Tribble answers from your certificates and food safety plans, with the source on each. A request for the audit report goes to your quality lead in Teams, who decides how it’s shared.
Every form a retailer sends, from item setup to the line review.
Grouped by who owns the answer. Every one draws on the same claims register, spec sheets, packaging specs and certificates.

FAQ
Common questions.
Does Tribble decide whether a claim is substantiated?
No. Your regulatory team decides what a claim may say and what supports it. Tribble answers from the claims register they approved, names the evidence on each claim, and routes anything the register doesn’t cover to them.
Does Tribble certify food safety or decide whether we meet a retailer’s requirements?
No. Tribble answers from your own certificates, food safety plans and recall program, with the source on each, and your quality team approves them. Tribble doesn’t audit, certify or grade anything. Tribble itself is SOC 2 Type II compliant.
Can Tribble fill in each retailer’s item setup form?
Yes. Tribble reads the retailer’s own form, answers each field from your spec sheets and claims register, and exports it in the retailer’s format. When an approved claim is too long for a field, it goes to regulatory for an approved short form instead of being cut.
We have hundreds of SKUs. Does that work?
Yes. Answers can be tied to a brand, a product line, a pack size or a single SKU, and each one shows where it came from.
What happens when a formula or pack changes?
Your owner updates the spec or the claim once. New responses use it, and answers built on the old version go back to their owner before they’re reused.
Can Tribble answer private label tenders?
Yes, from the private label specs your private label team approved. Your branded claims stay out of a store-brand answer, and a question whose only match is a branded claim goes to your private label lead.
Does Tribble work with retailer vendor portals?
Yes. Tribble drafts the answers from approved content and returns them in the format the retailer asks for, ready for your team to submit.
Can account teams use Tribble in line reviews?
Yes. Tribble Engage answers in Teams or Slack with the source attached, suggests answers live on recorded calls, and drafts the follow-up to Outlook.
Bring a retailer’s item setup form.
Send a redacted item form, claims request or packaging survey. We’ll answer it from your own specs and claims on the call, and show you which fields Tribble would route to your regulatory, quality and packaging owners. If you don’t have one handy, we’ll use ours.
